Toners, Essences and Astringents
Around 45 toners, from hydrating essences that prep skin for what follows, to acid toners that exfoliate gently, to traditional astringents for oily and congested skin. Korean formulas are well represented — SKIN1004, Beauty of Joseon and Revox alongside Elemis and Avène.
Is a toner a step I can skip?
If it is an old-style alcohol astringent, usually yes — modern cleansers do not leave the residue those were designed to strip. A hydrating essence or an acid toner is a different product wearing the same name, and those do earn the step. Read what it does, not what it is called.
Are these sealed and in date?
Yes, with the brand's own batch codes. One usage note worth more than any guarantee: start an acid toner at twice a week, and never pair it with a scrub on the same evening. Skin that stings on application is telling you the frequency is wrong, not that the product is working.
Follow with face moisturisers.
