Exfoliating the body is the step that makes everything afterwards work better — moisturiser absorbs properly and fake tan goes on evenly instead of patchily. How often should I use a body scrub?

Once or twice a week is enough for most skin. Work it over damp skin in circular movements, paying attention to knees, elbows and ankles, then rinse and moisturise straight away. If you are prepping for fake tan, scrub the day before rather than immediately beforehand so skin is not still sensitive.
