Palette or singles?

A palette is better value and does the thinking for you, because the shades are built to work together. Singles are better once you know the three or four colours you actually reach for — most palettes end with half the pans untouched. Starting out, a warm neutral palette covers more occasions than any bold one.

Will the colour last without creasing?

On most lids, only over a base — bare skin has oil that moves powder within hours. A cream shadow or primer underneath fixes it. Everything here is sealed branded stock, never a tester pan. Pressed glitters are the exception worth knowing about: they need a sticky base rather than a powder one to stay put.

Finish the eye with mascara.
